Can you imagine what you could do with a little more energy? Perhaps you could get a little more work done, spend some more time playing with your kids, power your way through a workout at the gym, or perhaps just do something fun. Sounds appealing, doesn’t it? Well, the sad fact is that although many of us may have the best intentions, we simply run out of gas.

A lack of energy can have many causes. The U.S. National Institutes of Health tell us that these can include anemia, depression, sleep disorders, bad nutrition habits, diabetes, or a sedentary lifestyle. Certain medications may also cause a lack of energy, including antihistamines for allergies, blood pressure medicines, sleeping pills, prednisone, and diuretics.

Low energy can affect you in some important ways that you may not have considered. It can rob you of focus, and that can often lead to mental lapses and bad decision-making. Your work may suffer, too, as low energy steals the momentum you need to meet deadlines, arrive on time for meetings, and reach project milestones. The most successful people in business are those who can recognize an opportunity and have the ability to quickly seize it. With insufficient energy, the parade could pass you by, and you might not even know it!

Here are some great lifestyle tips that can help you to fill up your energy tank and improve your productivity:

  1. Get more exercise. If you’re feeling tired, you might be surprised to learn that a walk may be better than a nap for boosting your energy levels. Any kind of physical activity will help to burn fat and increase your metabolism, and exercise will also improve your mood, helping you to feel more energized. In an important recent University of Georgia study, researchers found that sedentary people can increase their energy levels by 20 percent and reduce fatigue by an amazing 65 percent just by doing regular low-impact exercise. In another study, the same researchers found that the energy benefit from exercise was even greater than the improvement from using prescription stimulant drugs!
  2. Take control of your health issues. Be sure to see your doctor if you have high blood pressure, thyroid problems, diabetes, or other energy-depleting medical conditions.
  3. Sleep under comfortable conditions. Good quality sleep is essential for maintaining your energy reserves. Make sure that your bedroom is quiet, dark, and at a cool temperature that will promote healthful, deep sleep. Also, it may be time to replace that creaky mattress and lumpy pillow. Your energy levels will thank you!
  4. Drink 4 ounces (120 ml) of GoChi every day!

GoChi™ – Participants in groundbreaking clinical study report experiencing significantly increased energy levels in just 14 days!
In a recent human clinical trial featured in the peer-reviewed Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine (JACM), participants drinking a daily serving of just 4 ounces (120 ml) of GoChi reported experiencing significantly increased energy levels and reduced fatigue in as little as 14 days! Researchers also noted that the GoChi drinkers reported improvements in sleep quality and an easier ability to awaken in the morning. The publication of our study by the independent experts of a peer-reviewed publication such as JACM represents a first for a functional juice beverage in the Direct Selling industry, and it demonstrates FreeLife’s ongoing commitment to supporting its claims with solid scientific research. Here’s to energizing your life with GoChi!Your FreeLife Science Team

New GoChi Juice and Goji Juice FAQ - GMP and More

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

We continue to get questions about our new GoChi Juice the next generation of goji juice. We will continue to bring you answers to these questions to educate you concerning GoChi and goji juice.
GoChi Juice poured in glass
Q. Are all goji juice products made from fresh berries?
A. No, while our new GoChi and original Goji Juice is made from fresh berries, other cheaper brands you might see use dried berries. These dried berries are in effect put into liquid to get them to basically re-absorb the liquid, then pureed and made into a juice. That’s a simplification of the process, but when you start with a dried product, you’re right away starting with a product that has lost much of it’s nutritional value.

Q. What makes GoChi and Himalayan Goji Juice unique or special?
A. Goji is the only plant that contains complex glyconutrients called Lycium barbarum polysaccharides (LBP) - the Master Molecules that are so important to your body’s defense systems. But these important nutrients can vary in quality and potency, depending on where they are grown and the growing conditions for a particular region in a particular year. FreeLife is the only company to develop a Spectral Signature LBP Process™ to standardize our juices, ensuring that you always receive the same high potency and balance of LBP, every time. And unlike other juices, there is never any added sugar, artificial sweeteners, artificial colors, or flavors in GoChi or Himalayan Goji Juice. Preservative-free GoChi is also the world’s first clinically studied goji juice product.

Q. How does FreeLife ensure the quality of GoChi and Himalayan Goji Juice?
A. FreeLife’s goji juice products are produced under strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), a total quality system that meets or exceeds the requirements of every country in which we do business. Our juices are thoroughly tested at every step of manufacturing to guarantee that each bottle delivers a pristine, high-quality product with a full potency and precise Spectral Signature balance of goji’s highly bioactive Lycium barbarum polysaccharides (LBP).

Q. How are GoChi and Himalayan Goji Juice different from other “juices”?
A. GoChi is the only goji product we know of that is backed by clinical studies demonstrating its effectiveness. Additionally, our goji juices are made exclusively from ultra-premium berries that conform to our Spectral Signature balance and potency of the all-important Lycium barbarum polysaccharides (LBP). Our Spectral Signature LBP Process delivers a cleaner, fresher taste and enhanced aroma without harming our precious LBP.

Q. I read that you have a quality assurance guarantee. What does this mean?
A. We believe every product you receive from FreeLife has to be the absolute best quality available and exactly what you expect. If you are not completely satisfied with the condition or quality, we offer a 90-day, money-back guarantee. Just return the unused portion to FreeLife for a full refund.

Q. Has an ORAC test ever been conducted on GoChi or Himalayan Goji Juice?
A. ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) is a non-official, non-governmental test that claims to measure “total antioxidant power” in a laboratory beaker. This test is controversial because it cannot predict how an antioxidant will work inside the human body. In fact, many high-ORAC juices may perform very poorly when ingested because their antioxidants remain trapped in the gastrointestinal tract. Conversely, the bioactive Lycium barbarum polysaccharides in our goji juices work with your body to activate its own antioxidant enzymes, which can circulate freely to help protect every cell in your body. Clinical studies have proved that FreeLife’s new GoChi is the real antioxidant powerhouse!

Q. Are GoChi™ and Himalayan Goji® Juice classified as “raw” foods?
A. Within the raw food community, there appears to be much debate as to the definitions of “raw” and “cooked.” However, every step of our proprietary Spectral Signature Process is focused on one thing – maintaining the potency and balance of goji’s key nutrients, the polysaccharides. Pre- and post-sterilization testing has shown that our aseptic process never damages the delicate bioactive LBP in our juices.

Q. Are GoChi™ and Himalayan Goji® Juice classified as “live” foods?
A. Our juices are founded on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which places a special emphasis on the vital life force, or chi. The chi in our juices is found in its bioactive LBP complex, which can only be found in the goji berry. Every step of our manufacturing process is designed to preserve and protect these vital polysaccharides, and the results of our studies, combined with the great results that are experienced by our Customers around the world, are showing that we have designed our product very well indeed. And so, we very much consider our juices to be “live foods,” and we have many friends in the raw/live food community that agree with us.

Q. Did FreeLife use employees for the antioxidant and immune studies?
A. No. Our goal is to conduct GoChi research around the world, and therefore, we sponsored these studies at a prestigious medical institute in Asia that is not affiliated with FreeLife. None of the participants of these studies had ever tried Himalayan Goji Juice or GoChi, and were not even familiar with FreeLife.

Q. Will FreeLife be doing additional GoChi™ studies?
We’re committed to research, product development and process improvement. These three studies are just the beginning. We’re going to be around for a long, long time and we will never relinquish our leadership position as the number one goji company in the world.

Q. Since there is grape juice in GoChi™, can dogs drink it?
A. There have been reports in the veterinary literature of adverse events in dogs following ingestion of grapes and raisins. A small amount of red and white grape juice is added to enhance the flavor of GoChi, and we have estimated that a 10-pound dog would have to drink nearly a full bottle of GoChi (30 oz.) per day to reach the minimum reported safety threshold for grape exposure. However, it would be best to consult with a veterinarian prior to allowing your pet to try GoChi, as animals may react differently depending on their size and nutritional needs.

Q. Can the results of the tests that were conducted on GoChi™ be applied to other goji juices on the market?
A. The randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled clinical trials were conducted on GoChi. As such, those results apply to GoChi only and not to any other goji juices, dried berries, or any other product on the market today. To our knowledge, no other goji product can even begin to approach the high potency of full-spectrum LBP found in GoChi, and that is why our studies have shown such spectacular results in such a short time.

Q. Do we still have the Spectral Signature?
A. Yes. The Spectral Signature is the proprietary electromagnetic fingerprint that identifies our berries and our finished product. As no two substances can share the same fingerprint, GoChi™ and Himalayan Goji® Juice each have their own unique Spectral Signature graph. The Spectral Signature that is featured on our labels and in our literature is an artistic representation. The actual fingerprints are kept under lock and key.

Himalayan GoChi Juice Two New Studies on Immune System and Antioxidant Activity

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Himalayan GoChi Juice Two new studies were just released on Immune System and Antioxidant Activity:

Video Of These Two Exciting Studies - Click Here!

Immune system study -
How performed - Double Blind Randomized Placebo Controlled
Size of Study - 60 people in 30 days

GoChi Juice bottle in water

The results of this study showed Himalayan GoChi Juice strengthened the immune system in 3 very key areas.

First it increased lymphocytes by 27%, which is fantastic. Lymphocytes are a small white blood cell called a leukocyte that plays a large role in defending the health of the body.
Lymphocytes are responsible for immune responses. There are two main types of lymphocytes - B cells and T cells.

Second it increased Interlukin2 (IL2) by a whopping 58%. Interlukin2 is a cell messenger and instrumental in the body’s natural response to microbial infection and in discriminating between foreign elements and the body itself.

Third it increased ImmunoglobinG (IgG) by a very significant 19%. ImmunoglobinG looks for foreign substances like yeast, molds, bacteria, and marks them for destruction by the immune system.

Antioxidant Study-

How performed - Double Blind Randomized Placebo Controlled
Size of Study - It was conducted with 50 healthy adults age 55-72 years old over 30 days.

It looked at the Himalayan GoChi Juice effect on antioxidants within the body.
This is quite different than simply measuring ORAC scores which just test an antioxidants potential to neutralize free radicals in a test tube, which is often a far cry from how it works in the body. For example most fruit antioxidants are typically not easily absorbed in the body. This study actually looked at the the bodies own natural antioxidants SuperOxide Dismutase (SOD) and Glutathione Peroxidase (GSH-PX).

SuperOxide Dismutase (SOD) - is a potent anti-inflammatory antioxidant found in the body. The GoChi group showed a 8.39% increase in SOD

Glutathione Peroxidase (GSH-PX) is the general name of an enzyme family with peroxidase activity whose main biological role is to protect the organism from oxidative damage. This is the active form of Glutathione. The GoChi group showed a 9.87% increase in GSH-PX.

Also one of the most toxic free radicals in the body is malondialdehyde (MDA). The results of the GoChi Juice study showed the GoChi Juice group had a significant 8.66% decrease in MDA.

GoChi Goji Juice Study Results to be Published in (JACM)

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

Here’s some fairly exciting news - it’s not everyday that a study on an actual product gets published in the prestigious Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine (JACM). In fact this I believe is the very first time a juice product has had a study published in this health journal.
GoChi Juice bottle in water
The paper being published is entitled “A Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled Clinical Study of the General Effects of a Standardized Lycium barbarum (Goji) Juice, GoChi™” . This study is tentatively scheduled for publication in the July/August 2008 issue. As a peer-reviewed medical journal, JACM will only publish studies that have first been judged and accepted by a scholarly panel of independent experts. And so, it is noteworthy that these judges, who are not affiliated in any way with FreeLife, have given their approval on how our study was conducted, verifying on their own terms that its findings are truthful and accurate. There is no greater stamp of validity than to have a study published in a peer-reviewed journal.

In an industry that, unfortunately, attracts a lot of dubious products – with unsubstantiated claims and unproven benefits – this study is a tremendous marker of credibility. You can now share the good news of GoChi, not only with your own personal experiences with the product, but now also with the credibility of a scientific study that has been accepted by a respected peer-reviewed journal.

This level of third-party validation is rare indeed. To our knowledge, we are the first company in our industry to obtain peer-reviewed journal acceptance for a human clinical study like this, in which a nutritional product demonstrated so many tremendous health benefits. If you think of all the juice products in our industry, you will not find a single one that has this kind of scientific rigor. With the publication of this study, we have put the industry on notice that FreeLife is setting the standard for cutting edge product science.

Furthermore, this is only the very beginning of our scientific journey to objectively confirm the enormous benefits of GoChi. We have just completed two more human clinical trials at a leading medical institute in China, and the results of these studies are simply mind-boggling! In addition to providing further confirmation of the benefits that were demonstrated in the first study, the new studies also reveal 6 new, unique, and remarkable health benefits. This raises the number of GoChi benefits from 13 to 19. The results of these two studies will be released on April 10th.

….the 13 benefits of GoChi are truly incredible. Easier awakening, more energy, less fatigue, sharper mental acuity, increased focus, less stress, greater feelings of calm and contentment, better athletic performance, feeling happier, feeling healthier being more regular, and enjoying better quality of sleep. What more could you ask for in a product?

I personally believe that any nutraceutical or pharmaceutical company would pay billions and billions of dollars for the rights to a product that could deliver these 13 benefits in just 14 days. There is no doubt in my mind about this, and that does not even include the additional 6 benefits found in our new studies!

As I’m sure you are aware there are a number of different health juice products on the market. Products that contain noni fruit, and mangosteen fruit and acai berries and many other fruits. I’m not here to be negative about any other product but I ask the questions:

Do any of these other products have double blind placebo controlled studies showing specific health benefits - let alone in 14 days? There are none that I’m aware of.

Do any of these other health juice energy products offer a 90 day unconditional money back guarantee? No most of them are only 30 days.

Do any of these other health juice energy products have over 8 years of study and research behind them prior to being released? There are none that I’m aware of.

Have any of these other health juice energy products been improved by increasing their potency by over 30% since they were formulated? There are none that I’m aware of.

Too often in this industry a company starts out to make money by searching for any product they think they can sell.

One very rare occasions you have a company that starts on a mission to improve the lives of others and their whole focus is nurturing and endeavoring to keep improving their product so it benefits as many people as possible.

This second scenario is what Freelife and Himalayan GoChi Goji Juice is all about.

GoChi Goji Berry Juice Synopsis of Information and Benefits

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

Sometimes its useful just to summarized the benefits of something as outstanding as the new GoChi Goji Juice

For four years, we have talked about why Himalayan Goji Juice will become a billion-dollar brand. We cited four key areas:

1. The great history of the goji berry dating back thousands of years;
2. The great taste of our product that even children enjoy;
3. The tremendous results our Customers feel almost immediately in a wide range of health areas; and
4. The incredible science behind this berry. If you put the Latin name of goji—Lycium barbarum—in pubmed.org, you’ll now find 91 studies published on this miracle berry.

Try to find another product of it’s kind with a randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled study. Let alone showing 13 exciting health benefits in 14 days.

Here’s a few of those exciting benefits.

The first thing studied was fatigue because that’s become a chronic and serious problem in modern society. Here’s the result -the placebo group had no statistically significant benefit. However, there was a statistically significant improvement in the GoChi goji juice group.

The next thing to be tested was energy levels during the day. Once again the placebo group had no statistically significant improvement. However, the GoChi goji juice group experienced an energy lift throughout the day. All without the caffeine or other stimulants most other energy drinks contain. GoChi goji juice contains no caffeine or any other stimulant.

In the area of athletic performance, the placebo group once again showed little significant difference, yet once again the GoChi juice group showed a significant improvement.

The researchers also tested stress levels and calmness. The placebo group as we might expect by now, showed no significant difference, yet once again the GoChi juice group showed significant improvements, feeling calmer and less stressed. This benefit alone will positively impact the lives of millions of people who are not experiencing a good quality of life due to increased stress.
