Safety Tip-How To Recognize the Symptons of a Stroke

Saturday, June 19th, 2010

Recognizing a stroke

In most cases, the best way to stay healthy is to avoid your doctor — but don’t be stupid about it, either: When you need help, get it.

It’s simple common sense — but it’s not common enough, because a new study shows how too many people won’t seek help after a stroke.

Researchers asked 4,814 people what they would do in certain situations, and found that only 14 percent of them would call 911 after experiencing one of three common stroke symptoms… and 37 percent wouldn’t make that call no matter what stroke symptom they were experiencing.

You don’t want to overact, however recognizing the following stroke symptoms could save your life.

Slurred speech
Numbness on one side or in the face
Blurry vision
Trouble walking
Sudden severe headache
Confusion

You feel any of that, don’t waste time — call 911. Every moment counts when it comes to stroke.

Monday, June 14th, 2010

Here’s one of those obligatory blog posts you want to save in the event you’re having trouble sleeping at night. Spend 5 minutes reading this and you’ll be sawing logs with the best of them. You may even be awarded an official Lumber Jack of the Year Award.

I’m just trying to liven up a pretty boring subject – scientific studies. While they do have all the excitement of watching paint dry they do perform a very worth while service showing just how while these Freelife products of Gochi (Goji) Juice, Taislim for weight loss and Jule of the Orient Jiaogulan Tonic work.

Here is what Chief Product Officer Rick Handel has to say about these studies.

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

The Chinese herb jiaogulan has attracted the interest of scientists ecause of its demonstrated ability to increase microcirculation in in vitro laboratory studies. According to noted pathologist and medical professor Dr. Jialiu Liu, jiaogulan’s circulation-enhancing effects result from increased nitric oxide release in the capillaries, which is mediated by bioactive jiaogulan compounds known as gypenoside saponins.
Jule of the Orient Jiaogulan Tonic Improves Micro-Circulation Study Chart
To test the microcirculation-enhancing abilities of jiaogulan in vivo in humans, FreeLife scientists chose to study Jule of the Orient™, a proprietary gypenoside-standardized tonic derived from fullspectrum, whole-plant jiaogulan. In the study, subjects received a single dose of two ounces (60 ml) of Jule, and changes in peripheral circulation in the hands were tracked using an advanced laser Doppler scanner. Statistical analysis showed that Jule significantly increased circulation by as much as 60 percent over baseline level, and that microcirculation was still improved over baseline even six hours after intake.†
