FreeLife® made headlines back at the end of 2003 with the introduction of their Himalayan Goji® Juice product.

This healthy and delicious functional beverage started the goji revolution. Now more than 6 years later, Himalayan Goji (Gochi) Juice is still making headlines, because of exciting new research showing even greater promise for optimal health and wellness.
On February 1, 2010, London’s very well respected Daily Express newspaper reported the results of Australian research studying the effects of ultraviolet rays on mice. It is well known that overexposure to the sun’s UV rays can suppress immunity, and that is what makes sun worshippers more susceptible to skin cancer. In this study University of Sydney researchers set out to see if goji, a known immune enhancer, might be able to counteract the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation.
Let’s take a look at the results of the study.
The mice in the study were divided into two groups: the “Goji Group” was given Himalayan Goji Juice mixed into their drinking water; and the “Control Group” received either apple or pear juice in their drinking water. After UV exposure, the mice in the Control Group developed sunburn, which was accompanied by inflammation and edema (swelling and fluid retention) just like you would have if you had been a bit careless about sunbathing without enough sunscreen.
Let’s examine what happened to the mice in the Goji Group? As reported in the Express article, “the inflammatory sunburn reaction was strongly reduced.” And this was with just 5 percent goji juice mixed into their water!
According to lead researcher (and FreeLife Scientific Advisory Board member) Dr. Vivienne Reeve, goji’s action is two-fold. It protects against decreased immune response, and it (the goji) also increases the body’s antioxidant power so that it is better able to mop up the dangerous free radicals that are generated after UV exposure.
Dr. Reeve’s groundbreaking study will be published in the upcoming issue of the respected peer-reviewed journal Photochemical and Photobiological Sciences, a publication of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Animal studies cannot guarantee identical results in humans, but they are an important first step. Dr. Reeve believes that “goji berry juice might prove useful in susceptible humans.”

I watched the movie Julie and Julia tonight with my wife Jean. The movie is about the famous TV cook and writer Julia Child. My memories of watching Julia Child on TV as a kid was one of being amused and entertained by how she talked, more so than anything about the cooking.
Watching the movie gave me a new undiscovered appreciation of Julia Child. What I found so fascinating and refreshing was Child’s unbridled enthusiasm for what she loved cooking. I was also impressed by how upbeat she constantly remained. It seemed as if nothing could quench her joyful spirit. There are not enough people in this world who can look adversity and disappointment in the face and just laugh. I found a new found respect and admiration for Julia Child as she battled against the grain to do what she loved bring French Cooking to all Americans. In the late 1940’s the Cordon Bleu (French for blue ribbon) cooking school she attended was dominated by all males.
As someone who loved French Cooking she had a passion to make that cooking available to the typical American household.
Another point – Julia Child lived to the age of 92 – dying in 2004 and yet she smoked and was a little overweight. I believe her upbeat lifestyle and doing what she loved paid a big role in her long life. I would be interested in seeing a study of the life spans of people who do what they love versus those engaged in jobs they hate.
Just as Julia Child believed French Cooking was unparalleled any where in the world, so I believe the Freelife nutritional products standout as unsurpassed.
I’ve been working with and marketing nutritional products for 15 years. And I absolutely believe the following:
The Freelife TAIslim Weight loss product is in my opinion the best weight loss product on the market. Which is especially need if you find yourself eating too many of Julia Child’s recipes.
The new Jule of the Orient is the best herbal (jiaogulan) tonic and may be the best overall nutritional product I’ve ever experienced.
The Himalayan Goji – Gochi Juice is I believe the best of the group of juice products (acai berry, noni, mangosteen, etc).
If you haven’t seen it I think you might enjoy seeing Julie and Julia. Meryl Streep is brilliant in her role as Julia Child, which is especially hard to do when you can easily compare her to the real Julia Child on TV.

Some random thoughts on the health scene – why do some people feel they need to tear down even lie about a competitors product in order to sell their own product!
Why is their no freedom of speech when it comes to health products? Instead of companies being told that you can’t say nutrition product X helps with illness y regardless. Why not allow a company to say our product X helps with illness y, now we don’t have a particular study to prove that but we have had over 25% (or whatever %) of our customers report that it has helped them in that area. Then simply make the company put its money where its mouth is. Allow them to make that claim, but if they do so they must offer a 90 day 100% money back guarantee subject to penalties for violating truth in advertising laws. Two things would happen, you would weed out dishonest companies and two more people might have better health.
Did you know - if you take statin drugs you are more in need to supplement with Vitamin D and Enzyme Co-Q-10 to boost your immune system.
I’m amazed at the following - how many people are so negative. For example I was looking at statistics of what people are searching for and I couldn’t believe how many were searching on the term “scam!” Obviously their natural inclination was to check out whether something was a scam or not.
Did you know why gargling can be so beneficial if you think you’re becoming sick or ill? Doing so can wash the virus into your stomach where it can’t thrive.
Some thoughts on the TAIslim weight loss product (TAI slim). I suppose one of the best endorsements for any product is you notice when you stop taking it – such is the case with myself and TAIslim. I totally stopped taking it a couple of weeks ago. And not being the most disciplined person when it comes to eating I soon found myself eating more. This only confirms what I had said previously that it is the best weight loss product I’ve ever used. I’m not one to follow an eating plan very well and yet I lost weight on TAIslim fairly effortlessly.
People continue to get great results with TAIslim – Check out Kathleen C.

For those who haven’t seen it we did a blog post earlier which contains a video of Dr. Oz talking about the dangers of belly or stomach fat. We also have an audio in the same post which further elaborates on the health risks associated with excess belly fat.
Video Dr Oz Belly Fat Dangers and TAIslim – Click Here!
Studies have proven that “belly fat” can double your risk of dying from heart disease, stroke, cancer, and diabetes. TAIslim is synergistically formulated with key nutrients to help shrink your waistline, including FreeLife’s exclusive GoChi, the standardized goji juice that is clinically shown to decrease the body’s production of stress hormones (cortisol) that cause you to accumulate unhealthy belly fat.

Much is made of ORAC scores these days. One company even goes so far as to publish their ORAC antioxidant score on the the box of each of their products. It’s a pure marketing play not that I can blame them, but here’s the problem with ORAC. It’s a measurement of antioxidant potential in a test tube. It’s a scientific fact that you can actually design a protect that has a off the charts ORAC score but is absolutely worthless to you as an antioxidant.

Another of the many health benefits associated with Jiaogulan is its tremendous antioxidant activity.
Actually the most potent and effective antioxidants are the ones your own body produces like superoxide dismutase (SOD) one of the body’s very powerful antioxidants. A study with jiaogulan involving 610 people ages 50-90 found that the levels of the antioxidant SOD in this group increased 300%, to be equivalent level of healthy teenagers.
The antioxidants that your body produces like SOD are by far the very best kind and are a much better indication of anti-oxidant protection than a high ORAC score. However, for what its worth I’ve heard a fairly reliable report that an ORAC score for Jule of the Orient will soon be published and it will be off the charts high.
A product or substance that actually increases SOD is proven antioxidant protection, while an ORAC score doesn’t guarantee anything as it’s only a measure of potential antioxidant protection.
But antioxidant protection aside Jule of the Orient increases micro-circulation by up to 50%. Jiaogulan works in this fashion by increasing nitric oxide synthesis, helping critical blood vessels to relax. This means better circulation down to the cellular level meaning your cells will receive more oxygen and nutrients (basically the good stuff). Now you’re smart, think about what your overall health would be of your cells are receiving more oxygen and nutrients?

This is for everyone who’s ever been frustrated by trying to explain or convince someone of something and getting nowhere.
This is a short story about a very frustrating moment I had some time ago trying to explain to someone the merits of the Freelife Products and why GoChi juice was superior to their product. I’m not even sure what the product was now but I think it was either Monavie or Limu Moui. I had done my research and presented them with the clinical product studies (3 of them on the GoChi juice itself – they had none on their actual product) and all the testimonies where people were talking about all the great things GoChi was doing for them.

The point is I failed miserably, I know more convinced them than I could convince you that I was the best marketer in the world (which of course I’m not). I was trying to be as objective and honest as I possibly could but to no avail.
I think sometimes we can try too hard. I remember in high school really liking this girl Cindy Hiatt. I had a real crush on her but well she obviously wasn’t too impressed with me. One day I actually got her to agree to go out on a date to the Dairy Queen with me. I think this had more to do with her dad liking me and he might of persuaded her to say yes.
Anyway I was devastated when 5 days before the big date she said her mother was sick and she wouldn’t be able to go the Dairy Queen after all on Saturday night. Needless to say I was pretty devastated, her mother must have been pretty sick such that 5 days ahead of time she knew she wouldn’t be able to make it. I did think it was pretty thoughtful of her to give me that much notice so I would have time to find another date. What she didn’t know was my dating schedule was so open I could have been ready with 15 minutes notice.
I suppose I should have let her know that little fact, perhaps her mom would have recovered in time.
The point is I wasn’t the greatest at getting dates back then, especially during my short stint as a bank janitor (I’ll save that story for another time) However, I have learned a thing or two about nutritional products, even if my convincing skills aren’t the greatest.
And one thing I have learned is this – the body of a professional athlete is like a fine tuned machine. These people know their bodies far better than the average smoe like myself. They pretty much know when they put something in their body that degrades their performance and they certainly know when they put something in their body that improves their performance. And you can put pretty much bet that if a certain drink or supplement helps the pro athlete it will certainly work for the average smoe like myself.
Thus a professional athlete will endorse a product for one of a couple reasons. If he or she is paid enough (and the product isn’t a total sham so they risk their reputation) or the product works very well for them. And you can pretty much bet when an athlete endorses a product for which they’re not being paid they really believe in the product.
Check out the following webpage of the various professional athletes, trainers and celebrities that endorse the Freelife products. None of these people are given any money to endorse these products. They do it for free because the products work for them. Other companies will pay people to endorse them. Freelife won’t pay anyone to endorse their products.
You have people like Jim Cotto – the strength and conditioning coach for the Los Angeles Lakers who has trained athletes like Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal (Shaq). The Mailman – Karl Malone, Gary Payton, Dennis Rodman and more. Plus Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas and many more.

The following is a football hero moment for the little boys in Canada who want to have an athletic career.

The Super Bowl of the Canadian Football League (CFL) is the Grey Cup. The 2008 champions are the Calgary Stampeders, who defeated the Montreal Alouettes 22-14 in the 96th Grey Cup just held November 23 at Olympic Stadium in Montreal. Howard Hodges one of the star players for Calgary credits GoChi Juice and Chi3 Energy Drink for a huge part of his success this year.
This is about Howard Hodges Professional Football Player Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Howard Hodges, a Texas native, played collegiately at the University of Iowa and was defensive team captain for the Hawkeyes in 2003. He was named to the pre-season watch list for the Outland Trophy, which is awarded to college football’s top interior lineman in his senior year. He has played professionally in the Unites States and Canada.
Here is what Howard had to say about GoChi (Goji) Juice and Chi3 High Performance Energy Drink.
“I want to thank FreeLife for the wonderful products I enjoyed throughout this championship season. GoChi and Chi3 Energy played a huge part in my success this year, as my body was able to survive and maintain. These products allowed me to keep a great level of focus and energy throughout the entire season. I feel like I could play another full season right now and with GoChi and Chi3 as a part of my everyday routine, I look forward to continued success in my football career.”

If you’re looking for a Nintendo Wii Fit game good luck. Actually all is not lost. Nintendo has done it again with purposely limiting the supply of this game. After all does anyone actually think Nintendo actually had a shortage of DVD’s and cases? These things are like sand in the ocean.
The balance boards I suspect they easily could have upped the product runs by 3 – 4 times.
All of this is conjecture and doesn’t help you come Christmas Morning.
That said there are some things you can do to secure that prized gift of a Wii Fit under the tree come Christmas morning.
First many of the major department store websites have a dot.com internet version (ie Sears.com) Sites like Kmart, Wal Mart, Target, Best Buy, amazon.com, Circuit City, Game Stop, Toys R US, Game Rush, Fry’s or outpost.com, Fred Meyer, Sams Club and EB Games.
Many of these sites allow you to enter your email address to be notified when the game comes in.
Also you can call Nintendo USA there telephone number is 1-800-255-3700. I was able to call them and a helpful lady was able to direct me to a local Game Shop store which I was able to run over to and get the last one they had in stock. For me Game Stop seemed to be the one store most likely to have this in stock.
Of course there is always Ebay if you feel like bidding on a Wii Fit.
What does the Wii Fit do?
- There are balance games like Ski Slalom, Ski Jump, Heading a soccer ball and more.
- It allow you to Aerobic activities like the hula hoop, running and stair steps
- Then there are yoga activities
- Also a number of strength training activities
- Plus it gives you feedback on how you did the various exercises like -how you balance and posture were.
- Plus much more.
I think you will really like this exercise video game.
So why are even so interested in the Wii Fit? Good question – I think it’s because we see it as a way to have fun doing something we know is good for us. Even more than that most of us are looking to lose weight or at least keep ourselves in shape and not gain weight.
In that regard a couple of products that fit right in with the Wii Fit lifestyle. These are GoChi –Goji Juice and the Chi-3 Energy Drink.
The GoChi –Goji Juice product has been proven in peer reviewed clinical studies to improve energy levels, increase athletic performance and over 17 other proven benefits.
The new Chi-3 Healthy Energy Drink contains GoChi juice (above) and gives you more performance energy while at the same time increased mental focus and acuity.
These are awesome products, check out these particular stories of happy users.

What is a hero? – certainly we can say that those fireman and policeman who gave their lives on 9-11 were heroes. They didn’t ask to be heroes but when their time came they acted with valor and determination without regard to their personal cost. In every war there are always outstanding examples of heroism. From Nathan Hale and George Washington in the Revolutionary War to Sergeant York in WWI to Sergeant Benavidez in the Vietnam war. See the following webpage (http://www.psywarrior.com/benavidez.html)

These were extraordinary heroes that sacrificed of themselves to help others. It is in this spirit that I want to recognize the hero spirit that resides in each of us.
I believe that everyday each of us has the ability to perform little heroic acts that may not save lives but can make a difference in the lives of others and even influence a generation. What am I talking about here?
A hero can be the father or even grandfather who spends time playing catch with their son. A hero can be spending a little extra time or simply being there for someone we care about. However, in today’s fast paced world trying to pay the bills we often don’t have the energy to help those around us. Or we simply feel too old or stressed out to matter.
I know we can’t all be a great hero the caliber of those legendary heroes above but if we can just do the little things to help others on a daily basis we can be their hero.
In that spirit I’m going to on a regular basis recognize those individuals our customers that have been a hero in some form or fashion for others.
First I want to recognize Tarah Todd of Michigan a stay at home mom. Simply being a stay at home mom is being a hero in my book especially one with health challenges endeavoring to solve their problems so they can be at their best for their family. In that regard Tarah is a hero in our book. Here is her story.
“Three years ago, I moved to Michigan from the South. My immune system was not up to the task. I caught everything that came around, but my doctor said I would soon adjust and build up immunities. Years later, I still felt completely run down and worn out. When the distress continued into the summer months, I threatened to move back to Florida. After drinking GoChi, I went several months being healthy, whereas before I could not go a few weeks without catching something. I actually had an immune system again! I also found digestive, mood, and rest benefits I didn’t even know I needed. Thank you for this amazing product. It has changed my life!”
Next I want to recognize Shiela Singh of North Carolina. Sheila is a mother and a hero to her 4- year old son who is grateful for the energy to keep up with her 4 year old son. Here is her story.
“After only two weeks of drinking Himalayan Goji Juice, I feel like I have my memory and focus back. I don’t need to write everything down to remember. I also feel like I can keep up with my 4-year-old. Thanks,”
These may not be the type of heroic stories that Hollywood makes a movie about, but to the little 4-year old child their mommy is all the hero they need.
A product shown 1n 3 clinical studies to provide over 19 health benefits in Himalayan GoChi (Goji) Juice. Of course some of the benefits like improved energy, less stress, better sleep, better mood support the hero in each of us.
