How to Make Money in Home Business Without Craigslist By Becoming Brain Dead

Our brain can be as Dr. Jekyll other times as Mr Hyde- sometimes our best friend, other times our worse enemy.

If you are in any of the fields of home business, sales, marketing, network marketing. Any field that requires you to approach others in some form or fashion this information is vitally important to you.

In any of these fields we obviously need to engage it to think and create plans. However, once we have made all our necessary preparations we then need to turn off our brain and simply take action.

Here’s the typical scenario of someone involved in one of the above fields.

They start planning and developing lists of contacts and prospects for their products or business. This is good, in fact we might even as Dr. Jekyll prioritize and rate those prospects. That also is good.

However, then we let our brain turn into a monster as Mr. Hyde and attack our plans. As Mr. Hyde our brain talks us out of contacting individuals, while rationizing that they won’t be interested.

Somewhere along the line in the process of growing up we start to outsmart ourselves. As a kid we would often do things out of inquisitive ignorance that if we did the same thing today would be of real benefit to us. As a kid we would often say or do things without regard for the consequences.

Then as we grew older we started thinking and over analyzing many various situations, like should I ask that cute girl to the dance. Instead of just asking we would start coming up for reasons why she would say no. In fact that’s the problem with so many of us, especially those of us endeavoring to start a home business. We over think, our thoughts are often negative and that causes us to hesitate or not act at all.

We need to learn when to engage and disengage our brains. Whenever those of us in the sales or marketing arena start analyzing or debating whether or not we should speak to a potential client, it’s time to turn our brains off and simply act to speak to them.

In fact here’s a tip. Whenever, we find ourselves over thinking about contacting a prospect we need to stop and repeat the following out loud.

“(Your name), you’re a pretty sharp guy, you’re better than this, you want to be the best? Well the best don’t talk themselves out of doing the very tasks that make them successful, so go forth and just do it, and think how on top of the world you’ll feel for contacting this person. No matter what their answer is to you.”

One thing I have always found to be true: when you act on your fears instead of letting them cause you to not take action, you fill great no matter what the result.

Remember the cowardly die a slow death every time they are afraid or hesitate to act. While the brave die but once and live a far more exciting and successful life in the process.
