The first is you through the strength of your personality, continuing to interact with your people on an ongoing basis. Obviously this takes work on your part, however it’s something I highly recommend you do. It just makes good sense.

The second type of glue is the product. Quite frankly the product has been at the heart of my business success for over 14 years. Let me ask you a question, have you ever known something was true but not thought about why is was true? That was me about the following statement for many years. Statement: Would you not agree that with each additional variable necessary for success to occur in your business the lesser your chances of success. And by decreasing the number of factors or variables required for success the greater your chance of success.

That is why the strength of your product is not only the Number 1 factor for helping you build your business, but also to keep residual income coming into your business.

The third type of glue is the company making the product. Are they ethical, mission driven, will they be in business to pay you 20 years from now?

Would you not agree with the following statement:
Obviously the integrity and management skills of the company are vital but still the number 1 glue factor for not only building your business but holding your business together is the product.
A superior product that solves human desires like feeling better, less stress, younger looking (more attractive to the opposite sex), more energy, better love life will keep people coming back over and over again to buy the product.

The product and or products is the one variable in your business that doesn’t change. It is constant.
Your other main variables responsible for determining success in your network marketing business are the company, the people you recruit and your ability to generate leads.

Let’s take these variables one at a time.
The Company- Once you make sure the company is solid this is pretty much going to be a constant.
The people you recruit - ah this is the big variable, because everyone’s different, some people are lazy others aren’t. The more this people variable factors into your success your chance of success decreases, because there are so many people variables.
The ability to generate leads - very important but still secondary in importance to your product.

So your product is the number 1 critical ingredient in your business. It’s what produces results or lack of results, excitement or lack of excitement, the ability to motivate people or not motivate people to do something. Question do you want to be marketing product B if everyone wants product A?
Without going into detail here the best products are the ones that can be felt and shown to produce results in studies. Not because they have a gimmick. I will talk more about gimmicks in another discussion.

The other big factor I’ve yet to discuss is timing -would you or would you not agree with the following statement: If you want to create the life changing incomes people dream about it won’t matter that you’re marketing the right product if you’re late to the dance.
I’ll be frank - timing has been the biggest part of my home business success.

Our brain can be as Dr. Jekyll other times as Mr Hyde- sometimes our best friend, other times our worse enemy.

If you are in any of the fields of home business, sales, marketing, network marketing. Any field that requires you to approach others in some form or fashion this information is vitally important to you.

In any of these fields we obviously need to engage it to think and create plans. However, once we have made all our necessary preparations we then need to turn off our brain and simply take action.

Here’s the typical scenario of someone involved in one of the above fields.

They start planning and developing lists of contacts and prospects for their products or business. This is good, in fact we might even as Dr. Jekyll prioritize and rate those prospects. That also is good.

However, then we let our brain turn into a monster as Mr. Hyde and attack our plans. As Mr. Hyde our brain talks us out of contacting individuals, while rationizing that they won’t be interested.

Somewhere along the line in the process of growing up we start to outsmart ourselves. As a kid we would often do things out of inquisitive ignorance that if we did the same thing today would be of real benefit to us. As a kid we would often say or do things without regard for the consequences.

Then as we grew older we started thinking and over analyzing many various situations, like should I ask that cute girl to the dance. Instead of just asking we would start coming up for reasons why she would say no. In fact that’s the problem with so many of us, especially those of us endeavoring to start a home business. We over think, our thoughts are often negative and that causes us to hesitate or not act at all.

We need to learn when to engage and disengage our brains. Whenever those of us in the sales or marketing arena start analyzing or debating whether or not we should speak to a potential client, it’s time to turn our brains off and simply act to speak to them.

In fact here’s a tip. Whenever, we find ourselves over thinking about contacting a prospect we need to stop and repeat the following out loud.

“(Your name), you’re a pretty sharp guy, you’re better than this, you want to be the best? Well the best don’t talk themselves out of doing the very tasks that make them successful, so go forth and just do it, and think how on top of the world you’ll feel for contacting this person. No matter what their answer is to you.”

One thing I have always found to be true: when you act on your fears instead of letting them cause you to not take action, you fill great no matter what the result.

Remember the cowardly die a slow death every time they are afraid or hesitate to act. While the brave die but once and live a far more exciting and successful life in the process.

Would you not agree that perhaps the biggest challenges a home business marketer faces is finding customers, leads and prospects that may be interested in marketing his products and business. This is especially true in network marketing..

If we’re writing a blog post we want to be sure to follow the basic sales letter formula. Too often we get so caught up in our business that we forget what we are actually trying to do. Attract customers and other marketers that can help us make money.

So in that regard our first step in writing a blog post should be to consider what is the purpose of the post and what niche are we trying to attract with that post. Once we figure this out we need to spell this out in the headline of our blog post.

Next start out by pulling the readers mind into your post – a good way to do this is asking a question or telling a story.

Then give them a little known fact or potential surprise that makes them further interested in what you are writing about.

For instance would you like to know some information that many people are not using with their blogs but
it can make a big difference in search engine indexing? I thought you might.

Here’s the technique I’m talking about – perhaps you knew about this, perhaps not. Neither Wordpress nor the Blogger blogging platforms create SEO friendly Titles for the posts you create. See the following blog post for information on how you can correct this issue.

How to Bring More Traffic and Customers to Your Blog and Website.

Next give the reader advantages that helps them either seeing themselves as more effective or an improved self. Seeing is the key word here – if they can’t see that your product or service can be of benefit to them than you’ve largely wasted your time.

The best way to do this is through either stories or creating mental pictures.

For example I could say, Do you want to try our healthy energy drink because besides providing you energy without all the high amounts of sugar and caffeine, it also gives you better focus and performance.

Question for you, what’s wrong with that statement, well from a marketing standpoint it doesn’t create any mental pictures. It’s just a statement. Statements don’t create customers - a customers buys when they are able to see a mental picture of a product working for them.

Or instead of the statement above I could say, based on the niche I’m targeting, “Are you in an extremely competitive field as a (blank) where getting sales and creating deals often come down to the slightest of margins. Sometimes it’s all or nothing. For example let’s take two golfers, they’re tied and it’s the last hole and it’s for the US Open championship. One golfer has laser focus and concentration and he sinks the putt. The other golfer, his focus is not quite as sharp and his putt lips out of the hole. The difference was only an inch between the two putts. But that one small inch represents either victory or losing.

Now we can’t guarantee you’ll always come out on top but we do have a product that does provide greater mental focus and performance. If you’re a marketer, why do you write a blog? Is it simply because you’ve been told it’s the thing to do, because everyone else has one? If that’s the only reason you might as well save your time and do something else.

Let me ask you a question? If you’re a marketer do you have a marketing plan and of so how does a blog fit into your plans?

As I see it your blog should accomplish these 4 things.

1. First it should be used to enhance your credibility and establish you as an expert. By providing valuable and thought provoking information, wihout it just being a lame commercial for your products.
2. Second it should be used to draw targeted traffic and customers to your site (generate revenue). More on this below.
3. Third it should be used to build your targeted list.
4. Fourth is should be used to build search engine ranking for the pages in your blog and your main site. For example a strategy here would be based on your targeted niche go after 3 - 5 word longtail keyword phrases in the title of each blog post.

I mentioned above that one of the reasons to have a blog is to draw targeted traffic and customers to your site (generate revenue). All my new blogs are Wordpress. I have some Blogger blogs, which is where I started but these are now just archived information. All new posts I now do are in Wordpress. I simply find Wordpress works better for what I want to do.

That being said both of these platforms have a problem when it comes to being Search engine friendly. Now don’t get me wrong search engines love blogs, they see them as fresh material.

However, out of the box so to speak, they don’t have search engine SEO friendly titles. What do I mean by this - the titles they create have the name of the blog as their title and eventually at the very end of the Title tag they will put the title of the blog post. Obviously the problem with this is that the search engines will see largely the same title for each blog post. This is obviously not good.
